The Nine Muses Magazine is an independent digital magazine exclusively for women that explores diversity and authenticity in both life and art. We are building a space for women to grow through literature, both in writing and reading, and for women to voice their thoughts and souls in hopes of growing together for the better.

The nine Muses in Greek mythology are the nine daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne (the Titan goddess of memory), each representing an inspiration of arts and science. Calliope for epic poetry, Clio for history, Erato for love poetry, Euterpe for music and lyric poetry, Melpomene for tragedy, Polyhymnia for hymns and sacred poetry, Terpsichore for dance, Thalia for comedy and idyllic poetry, and Urania for astronomy. They are often accompanied by Apollo (the god of the sun, poetry, music, archery, prophecy, healing, and more).
