magpie

Celine Hosea

March 22, 2026

A magpie to beautiful boys, I find their

Skin as lustrous as pearl,

Eyes luminous as gems,

I tread the distance from their navel to

Their lips, like Christina traverses

The vast expanse of her world

On egg tempera on gessoed panel,

Fingers interlocking grass,

Like mine interlocks your hair,

And yours on mine, a tight grip to

Guide my kisses, and my mind,

I am writing this poem in your office,

Glancing at your keyboard, with you

Fingers tipping, tapping, dipping on keys and

Reminisced on when they dipped on mine.
