Whenever I stare at my reflection in the mirror, I wonder: How could I be so naive to let your enchanting smile destroy my well-built wall; how could I be so naive to let your soft laughs seep into my soul; how could I be so naive to let your gentle touches become my way back home?


Is it the way your eyes bore into mine with adoration, as if I’m some type of jewel everyone wanted? Or is it the way you listened to each word that came out of my mouth? Because my skin, traced by your fingers, still holds the one thing that lingers—your warmth.
