We're Losing Us

Within a wounded heart,
I try to reach you, who’s slipping away.
Wondering if it’s time
to part beneath the red wine of dawn.
“Is it okay? Will it be fine?”
I’m tired of staying wide awake at night for you.
“Is it okay? Will you be fine?”
I care, even though I’m hurting the same way.
Within a ruined state of mind,
I try to make it beautiful from afar.
Wondering if it’s alright
to say goodbye from miles apart.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
I’m tired of the guilt of blaming you.
“Forgive me, forgive our love.”
I want to say everything, forgetting that I’ll regret it.
I’m running away again and again,
pretending that I’m the only one who tried my best.
And you disappeared from my world,
pretending that leaving is your way of being kind.
In the end, I didn’t realize it had already ended.
The one who wonders too much will miss the chance,
and the one who refuses to act will lose their time.
Was it us who were to blame from the start?
I don’t know anymore,
it seems that we’re losing us.
